Time Study Web Services (TSWS) cost effectively gathers process times and process related data simultaneously from any number of office workers, work from home staff and mobile employees from anywhere using a browser on any PC, tablet or phone.
Users click or tap the simple interface to capture start and stop times to create a transaction as they perform the activities. Additional specifics, activity details, issues and bottlenecks can be identified during data entry in seconds. Comments and feedback can be requested to make the users active participants in the company’s continuous improvement efforts.

Activity Sampling Studies
A small Timer Pro App can be installed on any number of PC’s which connects to TSWS and downloads your sampling study configurations and randomly prompts users to describe the activity they are performing at that moment by selecting from lists of activities customized for your operations. The App uploads the transactions to TSWS for your download and analysis.
Random Moment Sampling for Mobile Employees
Timer Pro’s Random Moment Sampling (RMS) module allows you to gather activity data from field staff and mobile employees who spent time out of the office or away from their desks often visiting existing and potential customers and accounts.
RMS allows you to schedule any number of emails that will be randomly sent to your mobile employees to ask what they are doing at that particular point in time. You configure the possible responses that they can make to correspond to their job responsibilities.
Work hours, lunch hours and even vacations can be configured so that emails are only sent when the employee are scheduled for work. If they are traveling or in a meeting, they respond when they see the email and select the activity they were involved in at the requested sample time. Entries can be made on any device.
Simple Excel templates allow you to define your project variables and participants. Use the RMS web portal to monitor your projects and download your data at any time. You can also receive daily summary emails.
Random moment sampling is a recognized statistical technique accepted under Federal law. It is used by many US State agencies and related public assistance organizations. Based on the data collected by our RMS service, they receive reimbursement from the government.
Many commercial businesses use RMS to quantify and allocate labor costs to determine the profitability of business processes and services. In doing so, they identify process improvement opportunities and can measure the impact of changes by repeating the study as desired.
